McCain Hits Back at Romney Attacks

Under attack by former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) openly mocked his opponent for shifting his stance on issues ranging from immigration to climate change.

Responding to Romney's comments that McCain would take the country in a "liberal Democratic course" if elected president, McCain told reporters to consider this critique in light of Romney's record.

"One thing we should give Governor Romney credit for, he is consistent, He's consistently taken both sides of every issue, he has consistently flip-flopped on every issue," he said, after conducting a national security roundtable at Atlantic Marine, a company that produces naval vessels and does detailing on luxury yachts. "If you say different things in different parts of the country and take more than two sides on every issue, it's not going to work over time. That's why we're going to win over Governor Romney both tomorrow, and on Super Tuesday."

Romney suggested McCain's bill to cap and trade greenhouse gas emissions linked to global warming would translate into $1,000 in additional energy costs to U.S. consumers each year; the senator argued that American companies such as General Electric had already brought energy-efficient products to market that save its customers money. "I've seen the innovation of green technologies," he said.

I think John McCain is taking a cheap shot at Romney. Although he's telling the truth he's just trying to bring up negative things about his opponents to try and gain more votes. McCain is probably insecure of his campaign so he's taking cheap shots at his biggest rival. Bad McCain!!!
